Fusion Focus provides specialist advice regarding Smart Assistive Technology (SAT) and home automation. SAT is any technology that can support people with a disability increased their independence. SAT is also designed to help people that are aging maintain their independence and remain in their own home. This can include medication dispensers, specialised keyboards, automatic light switches and other devices, environmental controls (air conditioning), emergency alert systems, specialised/simple mobile phones, sensors (flood, fire, fall and movement). Fusion Focus has also been able to provide custom solutions (i.e. TV controls) specially designed for an individual’s physical needs. The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has provided specific funding for Assistive Technology. The aim of this funding is to utilise devices and systems support people to perform tasks that they would otherwise be unable to do or make the tasks easier, which will reduce the burden of carers and support staff and most importantly increase quality of life. Fusion Focus are a registered provider for NDIS.
